I have one page now that has my three favourite açaí smoothie bowl recipes together, it’s kind of like a mini Açaí Bowl Bible. The key to making any smoothie bowl is the consistency, and this all comes down to have a strong blender and using frozen fruit.
Being a berry itself, açaí blends incredibly well with other berries and this is the perfect introduction recipe to açaí bowl making. When you get a little more confident try my cacao recipe or my creamy mango recipe. Top off your açaí bowl with an assortment of fruits, nuts, seeds and a good helping of crunchy granola and you’ve got yourself a great start to the day.
- 100 g frozen açai (or 1 large tbsp of açai powder)
- 1 frozen banana
- 1/2 cup frozen mixed berries (or raspberries, blueberries, strawberries, blackberries all work well!)
- 1 kiwi fruit
- 1/2 - 1 cup coconut water
- 1/2 zucchini
Add all ingredients into a powerful blender and blend until very very smooth. If the blender is struggling to blend, add a tiny bit more liquid.
Pour into a bowl and decorate with your favourite toppings.
